Isaac Rebirth question-mark items: recognize Curse of the Blind

Curse of the Blind hides item sprites behind question marks until pickup. The uncertainty is part of the floor’s rules. Re-entering the room is not a reliable way to preview what an unknown pedestal will become.

Identify what information is missing

The community curse reference separates Blind from Lost, which removes the map, and Unknown, which hides health. Check the active floor condition before changing graphics settings or diagnosing several unrelated interface problems as one bug.

Decide before touching the pedestal

Illustrative decision: you have a functioning run and two optional unknown pickups. Decide how much uncertainty you accept before moving into them. A question mark cannot support a precise build recommendation. Keep the choice deliberate instead of assuming you can inspect the item and undo the pickup.

Reassess on the next floor

The reference describes curses as floor-scoped. When you move on, check the new condition rather than assuming Blind continues for the whole run. If an item you previously revealed becomes a question mark again after leaving and returning, the reference documents that behavior under Blind; do not use it as an identification trick.
