eFootball development: higher Overall Rating is not a complete build plan
Konami describes Auto Development as reallocating Progression Points to maximize Overall Rating at each level-up. Manual Development lets you customize attributes. Before copying a player build, check which development method is active and what result you actually want.

Inspect development before judging the card
Open the player’s development information and identify the current allocation method. Konami’s overview says player level-ups grant Progression Points. Comparing a developed card with an undeveloped one can hide the reason their attributes differ.
Choose a role before changing the allocation
Illustrative decision: for a wide player, write down the actions you need that player to perform in your formation. Compare those priorities with the displayed attributes instead of using the Overall number alone. This is a way to judge a build, not an exact points recommendation for every winger.
Review a reset before confirming it
The current overview says Progression Points can be reset. Check the player and current confirmation screen, then compare a manual allocation with the automatic recommendation. Keep the same card and level in the comparison. Do not assume an old guide’s cost, point total or screenshot matches your version.
When your plan breaks
| What happens | What to change |
|---|---|
| Attributes changed after leveling | Check whether Auto Development reallocated points. |
| A higher Overall card does not suit the intended job | Compare role-relevant attributes and actual allocation. |
| A copied build will not fit | Verify the exact card, level and available Progression Points. |
