GTA V Enhanced migration: why later Legacy progress does not appear

Rockstar says GTA Online progress does not stay synchronized between PC Legacy and Enhanced after migration. Legacy progress is retained, but later play in one version is not a continuous update to the other. Check the version and profile before treating different balances or levels as lost data.

Identify the version and the migration result

Read whether you launched Legacy or Enhanced and which Online character is selected. Rockstar describes a completion alert and a character review after migration. If the process is still underway, follow its status message; another attempt is not proof that the first one failed.

Compare progress from the correct point in time

For example, you migrate, then complete more jobs in Legacy and later open Enhanced. Those later jobs do not establish missing migration data, because the two profiles are no longer synchronized. Compare what existed at migration with what you earned afterward, keeping the versions separate.

Keep Online profiles separate from Story Mode saves

Rockstar provides separate instructions for migrating an Online Profile and a Story Mode save. Identify which one you actually need. At the character review, read the selection carefully: the Online support article warns that choosing a new character can overwrite the existing slot. Do not create a replacement merely to test whether synchronization resumes.

Quick answers

What information should I keep for a support report?

The PC version, selected profile, migration status and whether the disputed progress predates or follows the migration.

Does the cited PC procedure transfer a PC character to console?

No. Rockstar explicitly limits that procedure to the PC platform.
