Hades revival choice: Death Defiance and Stubborn Defiance cover different failures
Death Defiance provides limited revival charges; Stubborn Defiance is the alternate Mirror talent with one charge per chamber. The useful choice depends on whether your attempt fails repeatedly in one encounter or suffers isolated deaths across different chambers.

Check which Mirror alternative is active
The original Hades reference describes the red/green alternatives as separately invested talents, with only one version active at a time. Inspect the selected version before interpreting an upgrade on the other side as an extra benefit already working in the run.
Map the revival to the failure pattern
Illustrative comparison: repeated lethal mistakes during one boss encounter are different from one mistake in each of several ordinary chambers. A once-per-chamber charge does not solve two deaths in that same chamber. Stored charges have their own limitation when spent earlier in the attempt.
Judge one change across comparable attempts
Before leaving the House, note the selected talent and ranks. After the attempt, record where its charge was consumed and whether another chamber was reached. Compare that pattern over similar runs instead of declaring either talent universally best from a single fortunate clear. Extra charges and replenishment effects need their own descriptions.
