Hunt: Showdown 1896 Dark Sight: ordinary tracking is not unlimited Hunter detection
Ordinary Dark Sight and Dark Sight Boost are different information tools. In Bounty Hunt, the boost associated with a Bounty Token can reveal approximate enemy Hunter locations while its available time remains. Do not treat every unmarked view as proof that the surroundings are empty.

Identify which information source is active
The community reference distinguishes tracking bounty carriers through Dark Sight from the boost's wider nearby-Hunter information. Check whether you have the relevant bounty-linked boost and resource before expecting the same display shown in another player's clip.
Use the scan to answer a particular question
For an illustrative departure plan, identify which approach or route you need information about, inspect the available boost and make the scan useful to the squad. The reference describes approximate positions, so communicate that information without turning it into a promise of an exact shot or an obstacle-free path.
Reassess after the boost resource changes
Read the remaining boost time rather than assuming holding a token grants unlimited repeated information. When the available information changes, keep other observations in the plan. A previous scan and the current view are different moments; neither establishes that every Hunter remains in the same position while the team moves.
When your plan breaks
| What happens | What to change |
|---|---|
| My Dark Sight does not match a bounty carrier's clip | Check ordinary Dark Sight versus available Dark Sight Boost. |
| A marker was treated as an exact firing solution | Use its approximate information together with the actual route and obstacles. |
| A later view provides less information | Inspect remaining boost resources and the current game state. |
Quick answers
What should a scan callout communicate?
The approximate direction or area, timing and what the squad can usefully do with that information.
Does a blank view guarantee that no Hunter is nearby?
Interpret it within the active information tool and its limits, not as an unlimited detection guarantee.
