Street Fighter 6 Burnout in the corner: check the Drive Gauge before spending again

Running out of Drive Gauge puts you in Burnout. Capcom's base-system explanation identifies a particular danger: Drive Impact can stun a burned-out fighter when it slams them against the corner wall. Treat the gauge and screen position as connected parts of your next decision.

Notice the resource state before the next technique

Drive techniques draw on a shared gauge, with different costs. Inspect what remains before adding another technique to an exchange. A sequence that works with a fresh gauge can leave a different defensive situation when repeated near empty.

Account for the corner consequence

Capcom describes Burnout as temporary vulnerability and specifically ties the wall-slam stun to Drive Impact in that state. When reviewing a lost exchange, check whether you were burned out and whether the wall was involved. Do not diagnose the stun solely from which character attacked you.

Rehearse one controlled comparison

In a suitable training setup, compare the same corner situation with normal Drive resources and with Burnout. Observe the state indicators and result, then practice your character's available response. The purpose is to recognize the condition in a match; it is not to memorize an unsupported universal escape or assume one response beats every opponent's follow-up.
