Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel: why one copy cannot be dismantled

Cards sharing a name can differ in whether they are eligible for dismantling. Inspect the selected copy and the game's message before budgeting crafting materials from your total collection count. Seeing the card name several times is not proof that every copy can be converted.

Reviewed 2026-10-15 · Copy-specific dismantling diagnosis; current acquisition rules and interface messages take precedence

Select the exact copy you are checking

In the card collection, identify the version and copy you intend to inspect. The original player thread quotes the game's explanation that even the same card name can include eligible and ineligible copies. Read the option on that selection rather than assuming another copy's behavior applies to it.

Budget from the actual eligible selection

For example, a player sees several copies of a desired rarity and expects all of them to fund another craft. First inspect which copies the game allows and the materials shown for the intended action. Keep the planned craft separate from an assumption that the collection's name count equals a dismantling count.

Read the bulk preview instead of inferring its algorithm

A separate player discussion shows how easily people confuse a card's rarity, finish and duplicate handling. Review what a bulk selection actually includes before treating it as a custom collection plan. This page does not prescribe an automatic-selection algorithm or a universal rule for every pack source; use the current preview and the exact copy's eligibility.

Quick answers

It diagnoses eligibility. Deciding what belongs in your future decks is a separate collection decision.

Sources & version notes

Copy-specific eligibility is documented in a player report quoting the game; the later discussion illustrates bulk-selection confusion. Exact crafting returns and complete acquisition-source tables are not claimed.
